Sigma enhances its profile in project management
Sigma has signed an agreement concerning the acquisition of the majority shareholding in iMål Projektledning AB, a newly formed company. As a result, Sigma will strengthen its profile in the project-management segment.
iMål Projektledning engages in the outplacement of experienced IT project managers and the development of project-management methods that are ensure that IT projects are completed efficiently. The companys operations focus on helping large international companies to implement their internal IT projects. iMål Projektledning will continue to recruit personnel, with the objective of having about 30 employees during 2006, generating sales of SEK 25 M.
As a result of Sigmas strong market position in southern Sweden and major framework agreements with large companies, we, together with iMål Project management, intend to grow within an area in which we already have widespread expertise and are experiencing considerable demand, says Jan Anderson, President of Sigma Exallon AB.
Sigma is acquiring 70 percent of iMål Projektledning. Payment will take the form of a basic investment plus a supplementary purchase consideration that will be based on the achievement of specified levels of earnings during the years immediately ahead.
As a result of their current focus on time, ambition, cost and efficient management, large companies and organizations have a considerable need for project-management consultants, says iMål Project managements President Lars Lanker, who is also one of the companys founders.
The founders of iMål Projektledning AB have long-standing experience of the IT sector, from such companies as Ericsson, Philips, Alfaskop, Qbranch, itAssign AB, Maersk Data Sverige AB and IBM Svenska AB.
